Robert Bosch Foundation

Since 1964, Bosch’s majority shareholder has been Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, a charitable foundation. The Stiftung carries on the charitable and social endeavors of the company’s founder in contemporary form. It sees itself as a foundation that pursues its objectives both with programmes and institutions of its own, and by supporting suitable projects and initiatives proposed by others for tackling the tasks faced by society.

* Since 2020, the Bosch Group with its more than 400 locations worldwide has been climate neutral (scopes 1 and 2). The climate neutrality was achieved by using four levers: increasing energy efficiency, generating energy ourselves from renewable sources (new clean power), purchasing electricity from renewable sources (green electricity), and — as the last resort — using carbon credits to offset remaining CO₂ emissions. In 2022, remaining emissions of 0.7 million metric tons of CO₂ were offset by carbon credits. Scopes 1, 2, and 3 are used in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.
