BSH have teamed up with charity Hubbub to tackle food waste across the UK
The average UK family wastes £470 a year by throwing away food and drink which could have been eaten, and £3 billion is wasted by food sectors. Despite growing awareness of food waste, there are few easy ways for people or businesses to get food near its 'sell by' date to others. That's why BSH has partnered with environmental charity Hubbub to create a Community Fridge network.

The Community Fridge Network will support 70 communities over the next 3 years.
Community Fridges are communal places where surplus food can be dropped off and shared between individuals and local businesses within a community. To date they have helped thousands to access nutritious food, save money, reduce waste and connect to their community. In 2017 Bosch supported the project by supplying fridges in London, Milton Keynes and Northern Ireland. There are 38 fridges currently in place across the UK, and in 2018 BSH is continuing their support of the project by supplying fridges to even more communities.
