What placement opportunities do we have?
Engineering: Design and Development (Reference: DEV1133)
A variety of exciting placements based in our Research and Development department. You will get the opportunity to support engineers with design and technical tasks, assist with departmental project work and contribute your creative ideas and solutions in problem solving sessions.
General Engineering (Reference: ENG1133)
Engineering opportunities based in our Purchasing, Manufacturing and Facilities departments. You could be involved in either, the introduction of component parts and materials, CAD, or production process planning and facilitation or in the maintenance of mechanical and electro mechanical equipment on site. You will assist in engineering projects and actively participate in continuous improvement and problem solving activities.
Legal/Business Intelligence/Product Requirements (Reference: L/BI1133)
A range of specialised roles dealing with either: changes to standards and legislation, information and protection, business and market intelligence, occupational health safety and environment or internal auditing. An investigative nature is ideal for these type of positions, which allows opportunity to interact with our departments at times of change and new opportunities whilst learning about the whole business.
Project Management (Reference: PJM1133)
Our Project Management placement students are active participants in project and continuous and improvement work. They assist in the planning, development and implementation of departmental projects and work with the team to ensure targets are met.
What are we looking for?
- Be an undergraduate student (studying an engineering focussed degree) with a desire to complete a 12 month work placement as part of degree studies.
- Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Has the ability to adapt quickly to changing working environments and is ready to embrace new ways of working through digitalisation.
- Has the capability to work well in a team as well as independently, using own initiative.
- Has a quality mind-set with high attention to detail.
- Can communicate confidently with people at all levels.
