As part of a multi-national company, the Bosch Rexroth UK Systems & Engineering Team supply a wide variety of Industrial Electro-Hydraulic Drive and Control Solutions in to the market place. Key to our success has been the ability to integrate our diverse component portfolio into operable circuit designs bringing precision movement and the control of forces to our client’s machines and structures. From a small 20L power unit installed in a Machine Tool application up to full containerised systems operating large cylinders in the Marine and Offshore industry, the scope is large and varied. We carry the technical responsibilty for the realisation of equipment based on the customers specification.
We are looking to strengthen our southern engineering and design team with a 2 year graduate program.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting development of customer specifications into workable solutions.
Providing costed bills of materials for commercial review.fProviding technical write-ups for written quotations.
Using AutoCAD to develop hydraulic circuits using a range of components.
Performing engineering calculations (including performance, pressure, flow, heat load, pipe sizing etc).
Support development of project documentation (Component Specifications, Special Procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, Risk Assessments, O&M Manuals etc).
Developing concept arrangements along with engineering instruction for our internal design team.
Providing technical support for other departments, including sales, service, purchasing etc.
Degree qualified in engineering with a mechanical bias (knowledge of hydraulics would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for this role as practical training will be given).
Preferably have skills and experience of at least one engineering drawing software package (eg AutoCAD).
Keen to develop engineering skills and working towards a professional membership
Enthusiastic about working within an engineering team.fGood attention to detail and analytical skills for solving a wide variety of engineering problems.
Ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the business.
Able to use own initiative, working both independently and as part of a team.
Willing to learn quickly and able to bring innovation to the team with an open and friendly nature.
Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
Computer literate with a strong MS Office skills, particularly word and excel.
