As a state-of-the-art engineering service provider, we offer development and application solutions for all electronic systems in the Bosch portfolio. Based at MIRA Technology Park in Nuneaton, BEG-GB is seeking an experienced Software and System Engineer for BOSCH braking systems to develop BOSCH braking systems for UK car manufacturers.

Please note that the position involves going to Abstatt/Germany for about 12 months to build up a network there and to learn all needed details for the job.

Your contribution to something big

Our business area is the development of vehicle dynamics and driver assistance systems like e.g. ESP and its calibration for national and international customers.

  • Development of customer specific functions and software solutions
  • Simulation and integration of ESP functions for longitudinal and lateral dynamics
  • Development and calibration of functions like "Anti-Lock Brake System" (ABS), "Traction Control System" (TCS), "Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Controller" (VDC / IVC) and "Torque Vectoring" (TV), also for cars with additional rear wheel steering or electronically controllable differentials
  • Test and calibration of above mentioned functions in real cars on test tracks
  • Contact partner for technical customer requirements of international customers
  • You are developing the future vehicle dynamics and driver assistance systems for the leading sports car manufacturers
  • Participation in customer meetings and test trips in Europe and world-wide (Germany, Sweden, Spain, Italy, ...)

What distinguishes you

  • You are flexible and willing to go to our headquarters in Abstatt/Germany for about 12 months to build up a network there and to learn all needed details for the job.
  • You have finished a technical study at an university in automotive or comparable (participation in applicable Formula Student topics beneficial)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Software and System Engineer or similar
  • You have good programming skills (e.g. C, C++, Matlab, ...) and have experience in simulation methods (e.g. CarMaker, ASCET, ...)
  • You have a great passion for cars and vehicle dynamics on a professional level but also in your leisure
  • You have great knowledge in the area of vehicle dynamics and control engineering
  • You are eager to develop innovative functions based on customer requirements
  • You are a team player
  • You can work independent with minimal supervision
  • You have very good English skills
  • You possess a clean driving license for cars (clean driving license for trucks beneficial)
  • You are able to drive cars at their physical limits on appropriate test tracks or race tracks (driver training will be provided.
