The powertrain customer team is responsible for Bosch Powertrain Passenger Car sales and application to Jaguar Land Rover. Our Application, Sales and Project Management engineers are located in UK and Germany. This position is based in the Bosch Warwick Technical Center (BWTC) which is close to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in Coventry, UK. The Application Team calibrate and applicate a variety of functions relating to Bosch ECU , FIE and SCR Hardware. This position involves the calibration of Torque Monitoring Functions on both Gasoline, Diesel and hybrid applications.

Your contribution to something big

  • Calibration of Bosch specific software for the Actual Torque Path and Monitoring/Diagnostic functions
  • Prepare Monitoring calibration rules (using Moncal tool) and SSD Rules (System Specific Data) for JLR variants.
  • Support for pre-calibration activities and dataset management for JLR Monitoring projects
  • Calibration of Bosch specific software for Permitted Torque Monitoring functions
  • Perform ECU MST tests as part of Safety calibration
  • Confirm data validity for Monitoring functions for CTM, ACM and Overrun Monitoring functions
  • Handle the monitoring of External Interventions
  • Calibrate Fuel path Monitoring functions
  • Well versed with Continuous Torque Monitoring, Overrun Monitoring, Acceleration based Monitoring concepts
  • Execute Vehicle Reaction tests on Production intent test vehicles
  • Fault find and investigate any issues arising from this calibration.

What distinguishes you

  • Passion to work with automotive engines and vehicles
  • Appropriate engineering Degree, e.g. mechanical or electronic
  • A knowledge of engine management systems, electronic diesel control calibration, engines, and vehicles
  • Knowledge of Bosch diesel/gasoline systems is advantageous
  • Calibration/ test experience of engines and vehicles
  • Skilled in PC based application tools such as ETAS INCA
  • Knowledge of the German language is advantageous
  • Valid driving licence
  • Flexibility to base at customer site as necessary
  • Good communicator and customer orientated
  • Good team member
