In more than 140 countries we offer spare parts, technical information and training as well as diagnostic hardware, software and services, all used in the analysis, upkeep and repair of vehicles.

Owing to the continued growth of the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions, we require a C++ developer to work as part of our Engineering department in an established embedded development team.

Your contribution to something big

  • Software construction activities in the C++ as designed and specified
  • Designing software to the customer specification
  • Participating in Peer review and testing activities
  • Work with a minimum of supervision
  • Input to project planning meetings
  • Takes responsibility for own work items and ensures timely delivery of code units
  • Software testing (including the use of CI)
  • Releasing software
  • Products to be worked on:
    Bosch GRADE-X Embedded
    Bosch D-PDU API stack (ISO22900-2)

What distinguishes you


  • Degree level in relevant discipline or equivalent industrial experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in C/C++ software development
  • C++ (In particular C++11)
  • Cross Platform development experience (Ideally Two from Windows, Linux, iOS or Andriod)
  • Visual Studio
  • Communication protocol and/or networking experience
  • Good Communications Skills particular when communicating software design
  • Dedicate to producing efficient, high quality and maintainable software
  • Source code control
  • Core review processes
  • Issue management software


  • C++ Unit Testing
  • C++, (C++17)
  • Experience with continuous integration platforms
  • Embedded Linux
  • Experience in Agile software development methods (SCRUM)
  • Experience in other languages (Java, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of automotive industry and standards(vehicle communication protocols)
  • Knowledge of automotive communication standards (e.g. CAN, ISO15765)
  • Networking experience (UDP, TCP/IP)
  • Other programming languages (Python)
  • Porting external packages to different platforms and Oss
  • Source Control technologies (Git, SVN, CVS)
  • Code review tools (Crucible/FisheEye, BitBucket)
  • Issue management tools (Jira)

Travel is required on an occasional basis to locations in Germany, Sweden, US, Japan, and China.
