The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is one of the largest engineering institutions in the world with more than 160,000 members in 127 countries. It inspires, informs and influences the global engineering community.

The IET runs an initiative called the Faraday Challenge Days which are one day STEM events designed for six teams of six students aged 11-14 years (Year 7 or 8).

The IET Faraday Challenge Days give students the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. At each event teams compete to win a prize for themselves and a trophy for their school and to win take part in the National Final.

Bosch supported the IET at seven Faraday Challenge Days at schools close to Bosch sites from January to June 2017.
