The products are created not just for the future, but to provide real answers for real problems encountered today. The aim of the launch is to create a connected home where devices are communicating with each other, automatically adapting to changing needs, on a daily basis.

Bosch Smart Home products allow your home to automatically control regular processes. Networked devices communicate with one another and automatically adjust to changing circumstances in your daily routine. You no longer have to worry about details and have more time to enjoy life. Thanks to intuitive operation via smartphone app the Smart Home System can be easily controlled, even when you are not at home.

Steffen Hoffmann, president of Bosch UK said:

“Smart technology has been around for some time now, but with the launch of our Smart Home portfolio, this technology is now accessible for all, rather than just the early adopters. The solutions we have created are designed to make a tangible difference to people’s everyday lives.

“Our recent Smart Home Study confirmed to us that worrying about home safety and security is a real issue, so these products will be a relief to many by helping to address their concerns quickly and easily.

“Whether customers choose to opt for a full Smart Home suite, or simply choose to combine a few products, they’ll be able to instantly enjoy security benefits and greater peace of mind”.

The Smart Home portfolio launch comes as Bosch announces its annual financial results, registering £3.2 billion (€3.9 billion) sales in the UK. Adjusted for exchange-rates, this represented an increase of 13%, with Mobility Solutions, Consumer Goods and the Energy and Building Technology divisions driving the success in the UK.

Full product details:

Smart Home controller

The Smart Home controller is the heart of the Bosch Smart Home system and manages the communication between various devices. Automatic updates keep software up-to-date, and all system data is saved locally on the device to ensure data security.

Indoor Climate Starter Kit

The Indoor Climate Kit has single-room control and window-open detection, and is easy to operate via smartphone. It has bidirectional radio link between components and controller, and all components are updatable.

Radiator Thermostat

The Radiator Thermostat manages radiators to ensure temperature is set and kept at a constant. It has individual time control for temperature in every room, and detects temperature drops due to open windows. The Thermostat has protected communication with secure radio protocols.

Door / Window Contact

The Door and Window Contact can be fixed discretely to door and window frames and automatically detects open windows or doors, sending a notification to a smart phone.

Smart Plug

The Smart Plug connects electrical appliances to the Bosch Smart Home System, and opens up a range of possible different applications by connecting different appliances. It displays power consumption continuously and has a manual override function.

Twinguard Smoke Alarm with Air Quality Sensor

The Twinguard Smoke Alarm has reliable smoke detection using professional dual-ray technology, and optimum sensitivity settings for every room type. It provides continuous measurement of temperature, humidity and air quality (VOC), and sends automatic notifications to a smartphone in case of alarm.

Twinguard Smoke Alarm with Air Quality Sensor Starter Set

The Starter Set combines the Twinguard Smoke Alarm with a Gateway to allow for radio link of several Twinguards.

360° Indoor Camera

This Indoor camera has 360° coverage and guaranteed privacy due to retractable camera head. The intercom system enables two-way communication, whilst the Integrated motion sensors allow only relevant incidents to be recorded. Recording is in HD quality with local, encrypted storage.

Eyes Outdoor Camera

The Eyes Outdoor Camera keeps a constant eye on your home, via the Smart Home Camera App. HD video transmission is in colour, even at night. The intercom system enables two-way communication, whilst motion detection triggers recording.

Smoke Detector

The Smoke Detector allows for quick response due to an additional clean alarm notification send via the Bosch Smart Home App. It is fitted with a reliable detector in case of smoke and fire, and also acts as siren to deter unwelcome guests, triggered by motion detector and door/window contact in the Smart Home system.

Motion Detector

The Motion Detector uses passive infrared technology with additional temperature sensor and intelligent algorithm to detect motion. It has small animal recognition, so ignores pets to reduce false alarms. The detector triggers alarm in case of unauthorized access and allows quick response due to clear notification sent via Bosch Smart Home App.

Security Starter Kit

The Security Starter Kit includes a door/window contact, motion detector, smoke alarm and Smart Controller to provide the optimal combination of Bosch Smart Home products for an alarm system.
