The offer was originally introduced after a survey of 2,000 Worcester consumers found that just over half of respondents said their boiler was out of warranty. Of these, 64% admitted to having no insurance policy or breakdown cover, reinforcing the message that homeowners could be doing more to safeguard their heating provisions.
