Steer Control Assistance is linked to the ESP unit and operates in tandem with the electro-mechanical power steering system, providing the appropriate servo assistance in critical handling manoeuvres to help the driver stabilise the car. For example, when braking on surfaces that are more slippery on one side than the other, the additional ESP function helps with steering corrections and provides the driver with better road feel.

Bosch also supplies other components including engine cooler, starter motor, spark plugs and a variety of sensors as well as the common rail injection system for the diesel engines in both models.
