The instrument cluster and central display within the cockpit of the S-Class plays host to a variety of new technologies including a variable, situation related display. This allows the driver to temporarily remove momentarily unimportant, or distracting, information from the display.
Further Bosch components and systems featured in the new S-Class include sensors, engine control and throttle devices as well as spark plugs for petrol engines and the third generation common rail for diesel engines incorporating piezo inline injectors. The luxury saloon also features the innovative Bosch developed, twin-motor windscreen wiping system which allows more compact under bonnet packaging and a more precise sweep of the windscreen. Bosch also equips the vehicle with the Drive Dynamic Seat, which offeres a massaging function and inflates the sides of the seat to adjust to the motions of the car through bends, providing additional support and further enhancing comfort levels.
The Mercedes-Benz R-Class also features a variety of Bosch components including engine management, intake module, spark plugs, ignition coil, hot film air mass meter and various sensors. The diesel engined models feature the third generation Bosch common rail system with piezo line injectors.
