The installation rate in the UK for ESP in the A and B model sectors is a low 15% and 1% respectively. The fact that the new Micra C+C Essenza variant, the principle model to be sold in Britain, will be equipped as standard with ESP, is an important indicator that this particular sector of the market will increasingly enjoy the important benefits of active safety technology.
In addition to supplying active safety systems, Bosch also supplies a number of other components for the new Micra C+C. These include the audio system, including the radio and speakers, the airbag including control unit, peripheral crash sensors and upfront crash sensor and in the engine compartment the company is supplying injectors and oxygen sensors.
