We are looking to recruit a CAD Design Engineer to be based at our site in Stowmarket.

Your Responsibilities:Supporting the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for all matters relating to the design of new and existing products so that the Company’s product range can be competitively marketed to maximum commercial advantage. You will contribute to the product introduction team by the completion of assigned roles and in particular by the ownership of component and product design and specification. Your skills will ensure that you can produce designs enabling the manufacture of safe competitive products, and to work closely with third parties to resolve queries and problems with design proposals and related tooling. You will need to understand and contribute to changes in team and project priorities adapting work plans appropriately, and to control the issue status of 3D data and drawings supplied to third parties

Your Profile:You will have an HND or Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering. And experience of design in high volume consumer products, preferably within a manufacturing environment. You should have knowledge of 3D CAD modelling and ProE and preferably experience of design in plastic injection moulding. This position requires good written/oral communication, presentation and I.T. skills, and candidates should be practical, methodical, motivated team players.
