Bosch’s Aftermarket Division delivers a wide range of products and services for cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks geared to independent workshops and garages via distributors and wholesalers.
Today’s advanced vehicle technology means that even the simplest of service activities now bring technicians into direct contact with a whole host of electronic systems. This complexity makes servicing or repairing modern motor cars, which are essentially ‘computers on wheels’, a real challenge for the independent garage workshop. It is therefore imperative that workshops have the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment plus the technical knowledge to apply the appropriate repair solution.
Diagnostics
As one of the world’s leading vehicle technology innovators, Bosch has been producing diagnostic equipment for over 75 years and today supports garages with a comprehensive range of diagnostic testers for fault-finding, information and system repairs.
Bosch’s primary range of test equipment is the KTS range as well as the FSA range of engine motor testers. This is supported by the ESA and BEA range of emission analysers and the Air Conditioning equipment range. The KTS & FSA range are supported by Bosch’s unique DVD-based software, ESI[tronic], which covers service, repair and diagnostic information as well as wiring diagrams and parts identification and cross referencing.
Training
In addition to its extensive testing technology, Bosch offers garages and technicians a vast range of technical advice, information and support from books, CD-ROMs and wall-charts to a dedicated technical telephone hotline staffed by technical experts. As the leading industry provider of workshop training, Bosch also offers garages a range of practical courses from the most basic to the highly advanced for all levels of workshop technicians.
Garage Network
Bosch have a network of independent garages - Bosch Car Service – that offer consumers an alternative choice in the market place for bumper-to-bumper servicing and diagnostic repairs. All Bosch Car Service agents adhere to strict quality standards set by Bosch and are audited on an annual basis to ensure quality servicing every time.
As a leader in diesel systems technology, Bosch has also recognised the importance of offering specialist servicing for diesel powered vehicles. In response to both the increased demand for diesels and the increased complexity of the technology employed in modern-day diesels, Bosch has developed Bosch Diesel Centres and Bosch Diesel Service.
Bosch Diesel Centres are capable of testing and repairing both the older diesel systems and the latest diesel injection systems – including common rail and unit injectors. Bosch Diesel Service, while also a specialist in the diesel field, are equipped to work on ‘older’ diesel systems developed more than five years ago.
